Scope
GB/T 18916.44-2019 is the English-translated version of 取水定额 第44部分:氨纶产品.
GB/T 18916.44-2019 is Part 44 of the Chinese norm of water intake series and covers spandex products. It gives the calculation methods and the water intake quotas, and applies to the dry spinning production of existing, new and expanded spandex enterprises.
It defines spandex as a fibre made of at least 85 % by mass of polyurethane segments and fixes the range of water intake, drawn from surface water, groundwater, town supply and purchased water products.
The supply range covers main production, auxiliary production and welfare facilities but not water from a plant own power station, and the intake is read on the primary meter.
It cites GB/T 4146.1, GB/T 12452, GB/T 18820, GB/T 21534 and GB 24789, was issued on 30 August 2019 and has applied since 1 December 2019.

3.1 Spandex products
A fiber composed of at least 85% (mass fraction) of polyurethane segments.
4 Calculation method
4.1 General provisions
4.1.1 Scope of water withdrawal
The range of water withdrawal refers to the amount of water extracted by the enterprise from various conventional water sources, including from surface water (measured by water supply from the water purification plant), groundwater, the water supply project of the town, as well as the water quantity of other water or water products (such as steam, hot water, geothermal water, etc.) purchased by the enterprise from the market.
4.1.2 Water supply range
The range of water supply for spandex products includes: main production (solvent refining process, polymerization process, spinning and winding process, filters and components) cleaning, physical testing and testing, air conditioning units, etc., auxiliary production (soft water station, boiler room, air compressor station, sewage station, etc.) and ancillary production (office buildings, canteens, bathrooms, factory dormitories, plant greening, etc., do not include water from their own power plants.
4.1.3 Measurement of water withdrawal
