Scope

GB/T 18916.2-2022 is the English-translated version of 取水定额 第2部分:钢铁联合企业.

GB/T 18916.2-2022 is Part 2 of GB/T 18916 and fixes how much water an iron and steel complex may take. It gives the calculation method for the water intake per tonne of steel, the water intake quotas and the quota management requirements, and applies to existing, new and rebuilt complexes.

Water intake is defined as the water drawn from surface water, groundwater and urban water supply projects plus the water or water products bought from the market.

The supply scope runs from the raw material yard through sintering, pelletizing, coking, ironmaking, steelmaking and rolling to the auxiliary and subsidiary facilities, leaving out coal-fired captive power plants, mines and water supplied outside.

It cites GB/T 12452, GB/T 18820, GB/T 21534 and GB/T 24789. It replaces GB/T 18916.2-2012, was issued on 11 July 2022 and has applied since 1 November 2022.

Introduction

The verification of water intake is the basis for the state to implement the water intake permit system, implement planned water use management and carry out water resources demonstration. water intake standard The standard is an important basis for verifying the water intake, and is one of the main indicators for the state to evaluate the water resource utilization efficiency of industries and enterprises and to evaluate the water saving level of enterprises.

First, it is also an important means to implement the strictest water resources management system.

GB/T 18916 will clarify the range of water intake, the supply range of water intake and the amount of water intake according to the characteristics of water use in different industries.

It defines the calculation method of water intake quota, divides quota index levels, and makes requirements for quota management.

4 Calculation method

4.1 General provisions

4.1.1 Scope of water intake

The scope of water withdrawal refers to the amount of water extracted by enterprises from various conventional water sources, including surface water (measured by water supply from water purification plants), groundwater, urban water supply projects, as well as other water or water products (such as steam, hot water, purified water, etc.) purchased by the enterprise from the market.

4.1.2 Scope of water intake and supply

The scope of water intake and supply of iron and steel complexes, including main production (including raw material yard, sintering, pelletizing, coking, iron making, steel making, steel rolling, etc.), auxiliary production (including blower station, oxygen station, waste heat and waste energy power station, lime kiln, air compressor station, boiler room, machine repair, electrical repair, inspection and chemical inspection, transportation, etc.) and subsidiary production (including factories, departments, workshop bathrooms, toilets, etc.), excluding coal-fired self-provided power plants and mines water and external water supply.

The scope of supply of iron-making water intake includes main production (including blast furnace, hot blast stove, cast iron machine, etc.), auxiliary production (including waste heat and waste energy power generation, etc.) and affiliated production (including office, canteen, bathroom, etc.).
