Foreword

This Standard equivalently adopts ISO 9374-5:1991 "Cranes - Information to

be provided - Part 5: Overhead travelling cranes and portal bridge cranes".

The differences between this Standard and ISO 9374-5:1991 are as follows:

- In Chapter 2, use GB/T 17908-1999 (idt ISO 7363:1986) to replace ISO

7363:1986 used as reference in ISO 9374-5:1991;

- In Annex A, add postal code, e-mail box, sea side cantilever pitching time,

wind conditions (maximum wind speed in working state, maximum wind

speed in non-working state), humidity conditions (relative humidity); delete

"C) Radio" in the controller column.

This Standard was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation.

This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee

on Hoisting Machinery of Standardization Administration of China.

1 Scope

This Standard specifies the information to be provided:

a) Provided by the buyer when consulting or ordering overhead travelling

cranes and portal bridge cranes;

b) Provided by the manufacturer when contracting or supplying overhead

travelling cranes and portal bridge cranes.

2 Normative references

The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this

Standard, constitute provisions of this Standard. At the time of publication, the

editions indicated are valid. All standards are subject to revision. The parties

who are using this Standard shall explore the possibility of using the latest

version of the following standards.

GB/T 17908-1999, Cranes and Lifting Appliances - Technical Characteristics

and Acceptance Documents (idt ISO 7363:1986)

3 Information to be provided by the buyer when

consulting or ordering

The buyer shall provide the relevant information given in Annex A, so that the

crane manufacturer can sell or provide the most suitable overhead travelling

cranes or portal bridge cranes and equipment that meet the working

requirements and conditions.
