GB/T 18570.3-2005 is the English-translated version of 涂覆涂料前钢材表面处理 表面清洁度的评定试验 第3部分:涂覆涂料前钢材表面的灰尘评定(压敏粘带法).
GB/T 18570.3-2005 — This standard specifies the steel surface before application of paints and dust evaluation method. This method provides the assessment of the average number of levels of the icon, but also provides the average size of the dust particles assessment rating.
Optionally one of the following test methods: a) " pass/fail " test, referring to the prescribed limits, qualification test surface dust quantity and average particle size, b) by attaching a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, lasting record of the test surface dust, pressure-sensitive adhesive tape with a contrasting color in the appropriate floppy disk, card or paper test.
This method is applicable to steel surfaces after cleaning residual dust assessed before cleaning steel surfaces shall comply with ISO 8501-1 requirements rust grades A, B or C. Because the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape elastic finite, it is impossible to clean up after a deep furrow steel surface pit, so not for the initial rust grades of D steel surfaces.
Despite bringing the thumb pressure sensitive adhesive test operation subjective, but usually this is sufficient to meet the requirements, especially useful in the case of surface dust.

In case of disputes, except those involving rust grade C or D, but can use a spring-loaded pressure-sensitive adhesive tape roll to the back pressure.
