Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 18518-2001 "Cucumber Storage and Cold Storage Transportation". Compared with GB/T 18518-2001, the main differences are in the structural design.

Aside from integration and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

---The requirements regarding grading have been changed (see 4.2, 3.3 of the 2001 edition);

---The requirements regarding size specifications have been changed (see 4.3, 3.4 in the 2001 edition);

---The requirements regarding packaging have been changed (see Chapter 5, 3.5 of the 2001 edition);

---The shelf life has been changed (see Chapter 6, Chapter 4 of the 2001 edition);

---Transportation requirements have been changed (see Chapter 7, Chapter 5 of the 2001 edition);

---The delivery operation has been removed (see Chapter 6 of the 2001 edition).

This document is modified to adopt ISO 7560:1995 "Cucumber storage and refrigerated transport".

This document has undergone the following structural adjustments compared to ISO 7560:1995.

---A new Chapter 3, "Terminology and Definitions," has been added;

---Chapter 4 corresponds to Chapter 3 of ISO 7560:1995, where 4.1.1 corresponds to 3.1 in ISO 7560:1995, and 4.1.2 corresponds to...

Sections 3.2 and 4.2 of ISO 7560:1995 correspond to sections 3.3 and 4.3 of ISO 7560:1995, respectively;

---Chapter 5 corresponds to section 3.5 of Chapter 3 in ISO 7560:1995;

---Chapter 6 corresponds to Chapter 4 of ISO 7560:1995, where 6.1 corresponds to 4.1 and 6.2 corresponds to...

Sections 4.2 and 6.3 of ISO 7560:1995 correspond to sections 4.3 and 6.4 of ISO 7560:1995, respectively.

---Chapter 7 corresponds to Chapter 5 in ISO 7560:1995.

The technical differences between this document and ISO 7560:1995, and the reasons therefor, are as follows.

---The requirements regarding grading have been revised (see 4.2, 3.3 of ISO 7560:1995) to suit the specific circumstances of our country's products;

---The requirements regarding size specifications have been revised (see 4.3, 3.3 of ISO 7560:1995) to suit the needs of our country's products;

---The packaging requirements have been amended (see Chapter 5, 3.5 of ISO 7560:1995) to accommodate the different sizes and varieties of cucumbers in my country.

In line with the current realities of cucumber refrigerated transportation;

This document specifies the requirements for cucumber harvesting and grading, packaging, storage, and refrigerated transportation.

This document applies to the storage and refrigerated transport of cucumbers.
