GB/T 18443 Testing method of performance for vacuum insulation cryogenic equipment is divided into 8 parts.

This Part is Part 8 of GB/T 18443.

This Part replaces GB/T 18443.1-2001, Testing method of cryo-insulation pressure vessels - Volume measurement.

Compared with GB/T 18443.1-2001, the main changes in this Part are as follows.

-- Expand the scope of application from cryo-insulation pressure vessels to vacuum insulated cryogenic pressure vessels, vacuum insulated cryogenic welded gas cylinders, vacuum insulated pipes and their fittings, and other vacuum insulated cryogenic equipment.

-- Add terms and definitions to Chapter 3; adjust test conditions and test preparation in Chapter 6; revise, supplement and adjust other chapters;

-- Revise the reference standard for heads to JB/T 4746 Formed Heads for Steel Pressure Vessels;

-- Add the calculation of volume of interspace component to the calculation of volume of the interspace;

-- Add a formula for the calculation of volume of the standard elliptical head.

Appendix A and Appendix B of this Part are informative appendices.

1 Scope

This part of GB/T 18443 specifies the test principle and method, test devices, equipment and instruments, test conditions and test preparation, test procedures, data processing, test record and test report, and other requirements for the volume measurement of vacuum insulated cryogenic equipment.

This Part applies to the volume measurement of vacuum insulated cryogenic pressure vessels, vacuum insulated cryogenic welded gas cylinders, vacuum insulated pipes and their fittings, other than the storage and transportation of liquid hydrogen medium.

The terms in the following documents become the terms of this Part through the reference of this Part of GB/T 18443. For dated references, all subsequent amendments (not including errata content) or revisions do not apply to this Part. However, parties to agreements that are based on this Part are encouraged to study whether the latest versions of these documents can be used.
