Foreword

GB/T 17737 "Coaxial Communication Cable" has or plans to issue the following parts.

--- Part 1. General rules, definitions and requirements;

--- Section 1-200. General requirements for environmental test methods;

--- Part 1-201. Environmental test methods Cold bending test of cables;

--- Part 1-202 . Environmental test methods resistance to environmental stress cracking ;

--- Part 1-203 . Environmental test methods Water seepage test for electrical cables ;

--- Part 1-205. Environmental test methods Solvent resistance and contamination test;

--- Part 1-206 . Environmental test methods ; Climate sequence ;

--- Part 1-208 . Environmental test methods Longitudinal pressure resistance ;

--- Section 1-209. Environmental Test Methods Thermal Cycle;

This part is part 1-203 of GB/T 17737.

This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This section uses the translation method equivalent to the use of IEC 61196-1-203.2007 "coaxial communication cable Part 1-203. environmental testing party

Cable penetration test."

The Chinese documents that have a consistent correspondence with the normatively quoted international documents in this section are as follows.

4 test methods

4.1 Overview

One of the following three methods (A, B, or C) should be used to check the compliance of cable test specimens with detailed specifications.

Method A is a water migration test method between the inner conductor and the medium and through the dielectric material.

Method B is a water migration test method between the inner conductor and the medium, between the outer conductor and the medium, and through the dielectric material.

Method C is a water migration test method along the entire cable cross section.

4.2 Method A

4.2.1 Sample preparation

Unless otherwise specified in the relevant cable specification, two adjacent cable specimens shall be tested.

The length of each specimen shall be 1 m +/- 10 cm, and shall be prepared as shown below and shown in Figure 1.

At the end of the specimen, a jacket and outer conductor of about 75 mm length were stripped to expose the medium.

Strip a piece of media not less than 5mm long at the same end of the sample to expose the inner conductor.

Note 1. For the cable where the outer conductor is not easily stripped, the watertight bushing can be directly put on the outer conductor. The water migration along the medium to the outer conductor is neglected.

NOTE 2 This test is not suitable for cables such as 5-hole, spiral and tubular structures whose design has been shown to exist between the medium and/or the inner conductor and the medium.

Vertical waterway.
