Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 17434-2008 "Technical Specifications for Marine Fire-Resistant Windows". Compared with GB/T 17434-2008, except for the structural adjustment Besides the editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) Deleted the B-30 grade for marine fire-resistant windows and related content [see 3.2 and 8.2b) of the 2008 edition];

b) The fire resistance levels of marine fire-resistant windows have been changed (see Table 1, Table 1 of the 2008 edition);

c) The inspection rules for marine fire-resistant windows have been deleted (see Chapter 6 of the 2008 edition);

d) The test report requirements have been changed (see Chapter 7, Chapter 7 of the 2008 edition);

e) The requirements for fire-resistant glass sheets have been changed, and the test method for fire-resistant glass sheets has been deleted (see Appendix A, Appendix A of the 2008 edition);

f) The requirements for fire-resistant structures have been changed, and the standard fire resistance test has been deleted (see Appendix B, Appendix B of the 2008 edition);

g) The standard time-temperature calculation formula and curve diagram for "H" class fire-resistant divisions have been changed (see C.2, C.2 of the 2008 edition).

1 Scope

This document specifies the classification of marine fire resistant windows, as well as the design, fire resistant glazing, test report and marking requirements.

This document applies to the design of rectangular windows and portholes of fire-resistant construction installed on ships and offshore structures.
