a) GB/T 16900 "Graphic Symbol Representation Rules" is intended to be divided into the following 4 parts.

--- Part 1.General Provisions;

--- Part 2.Understanding test method;

--- Part 3.Perception test method;

--- Part 4.Object correlation test method.

b) GB/T 16901 "Rules for Representing Technical Documents with Graphic Symbols" is divided into the following parts.

--- Part 1.Basic rules.

c) GB/T 16902 "Rules for Representing Equipment with Graphic Symbols" is divided into the following 5 parts.

--- Part 1.Design Principles of Symbol Original Drawings;

--- Part 2.The form and use of arrows;

--- Part 3.Application Guidelines;

--- Part 4.Guidelines for redrawing graphical symbols as icons;

--- Part 5.Design guidelines for icons.

d) GB/T 16903 "Design Principles and Requirements for Graphic Information Symbols of Symbols Representing Rules for Graphic Symbols"

This part is Part 4 of GB/T 16900.

This section was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This part uses the redrafting method to modify the use of ISO 9186-3..2014 "Graphical Symbol Test Method Part 3.Object Relevance

Test Methods".

Compared with ISO 9186-3..2014, this part has the following structural changes.

--- The full text changes the suspended paragraph to untitled, including Chapter 4, Chapter 5, Chapter 6, Chapter 7.

The technical differences between this part and ISO 9186-3..2014 and the reasons are as follows.

--- With regard to normative quotation documents, this part has been adjusted with technical differences to adapt to my country's technical conditions and adjustments

The situation is reflected in Chapter 2 "Regulatory Reference Documents", with specific adjustments as follows.

* Replace ISO 17724 with GB/T 15565 (see Chapter 3);

* Replace ISO 9241-400 with GB/T 18978.400 equivalent to international standards (see 7.2.7);

7.7.

The following editorial changes have been made in this section.

--- Modify the standard name to "Graphic Symbol Representation Rules Part 4.Object Relevance Test Method".

This part is proposed and managed by the National Graphic Symbol Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC59).

This section was drafted by. China National Institute of Standardization, China Earthquake Disaster Prevention Center, China Household Electrical Appliances Research Institute, Hulunbuir Hai

Introduction

Due to the increasing use of non-verbal forms as information expression in buildings and other places, as well as dedicated objects, international trade

The continued growth of the requirements of the graphical symbols used can be understood, so this part of GB/T 16900 is formulated.

The purpose of compiling this part is to formulate graphic symbols that can be correctly understood by users even without supplementary text (ie explanatory text).

If the developed graphic symbol cannot meet this requirement, the graphic symbol may need to be used together with the supplementary text (the supplementary text is

The author 's language explains the meaning of the graphic symbols).

This section is intended for use by all technical committees responsible for formulating special graphical symbols in the industry, the purpose is to ensure that graphical symbols and objects are one by one

correspond. Any other organization that needs to understand the correlation of graphical symbol objects can also be used.
