1 Scope

This Part of GB/T 1592 specifies technical requirements for rear-mounted power take-off types 1, 2, 3 and 4 of agricultural tractors as well as power take- off location.

This Part is applicable to rear-mounted power take-off of agricultural tractors (hereinafter referred to as the power take-off / PTO).

3 Location of PTO

The axis of PTO shall be in the shadow of the rectangle shown in Figure 1. Its dimensions meet the requirements of Table 1. It is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tractor. The angle with the ground plane is allowed to be within ±3°.

The values of h in Figure 1 and Table 1 are applicable to general-purpose tractors.

For special purpose high ground clearance tractors, such as field tractors or tractors used in sugar beet fields, h max can be greater than the given value. For special purpose low ground clearance tractors, such as lawn or garden tractors, narrow-track tractors, crawler tractors, hmin can be less than the given value.
