Foreword

This standard is equivalent to using ISO 3808:2002 "Road vehicles - unshielded high voltage ignition cables - General requirements, test methods and requirements" First Edition (in English).

For ease of use, this standard made the following editorial changes.

--- Remove the ISO 3808:2002 Introduction;

--- Chapter 2 using key words applicable to our standards, deleted ISO 3808:2002 introductory phrase;

--- Chapter 2 normative references in ISO 1817:1999 is amended as ISO 1817:2005;

--- Increase the informative Appendix B "product type and mark." this standard replaces GB/T 14820.1-1993 "High tension ignition wires for road vehicle - Part 1. General requirements" GB/T 14820.2-1993 "High tension ignition wires for road vehicle - Part 2. Copper core high-voltage ignition wire" and GB/T 14820.3-1993 "High tension ignition wires for road vehicle - Part 3. Damping conductor high tension ignition wires." this standard and GB/T 14820.1-1993, GB/T 14820.2-1993 and GB/T 14820.3-1993 compared to major change of the following.

--- The GB/T 14820.1-1993, GB/T 14820.2-1993 and GB/T 14820.3-1993 in 70 °C, 105 °C resistance Hot product contents are expressed as thermal overload test temperature of 105 °C, 120 °C of product content;

--- Increases the thermal overload test temperature of 155 °C, 180 °C, 220 °C, 250 °C four product level content;

--- Remove the No. 20 oil content (GB/T 14820.1-1993 in 5.7.2);

--- Increased the capacitance requirements (this standard 4.6);

--- Increased resistance to brake fluid test content (This standard 4.15.4);

--- Increasing the resistance to the anti-freezing agent test content (This standard 4.15.5).

Appendix A of this standard is a normative appendix, Appendix B is an informative annex.

The standard proposed by China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association.

This standard by the national wire and cable Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC213) centralized.
