GB/T 1417-1978 — This Standard is applicable to telecommunications professional production, design, construction, maintenance, management, research, teaching, publishing and other aspects of foreign aid.

The standard range of vocabulary commonly used in China at present, the major equipment and basic terminology constitute the main communication network; but also includes some new direction in line with the development of telecommunications equipment and new technologies.

Communication network device refers to civilian, military and does not include mere non-telecom professional electronic technology (such as radar, navigation, computer, etc.).
