This standard applies to conventional combustion systems open -cycle gas turbine power plant and a closed cycle, semi-closed -cycle gas turbine and combined cycle power plant. For a free- piston gas generator gas turbine or with special heat source (such as chemical processes, nuclear reactors, pressurized boiler) gas turbine, this standard can also be used as the basis, subject to the appropriate changes. This standard does not apply to aircraft, construction machinery, agricultural and industrial machinery and automotive traction on the use of gas turbines.
