This document supersedes GB/T 13988-1992 "Types and Dimensions of Connectors for Electro-Flash Devices and Synchronization Lines for Photography", and is consistent with... Compared with GB/T 13988-1992, apart from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

---The number of connector types has been changed from 5 to 4 (see Chapter 4, Chapter 2 of the 1992 edition);

---Four new plug and socket sizes have been added (see Tables 1-4).

This document is equivalent to ISO 8581:1994 "Sync line connectors for electronic flash units in photography". This document includes a new chapter on "Terms and Definitions".

The following minimal editorial changes have been made to this document.
