Scope
GB/T 13849.1-2013 is the English-translated version of 聚烯烃绝缘聚烯烃护套市内通信电缆 第1部分:总则.
GB/T 13849.1-2013 is the general part of the GB/T 13849 series on local telecommunication cables with polyolefin insulation and a polyolefin sheath. For cables with copper conductors, polyolefin insulation and a moisture-barrier polyolefin sheath it fixes the construction, the mechanical, physical and electrical performance requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking and packaging, and it governs their manufacture, acceptance and use. The cables in its scope carry audio signals and digital signals up to the 2B+D rate of the integrated services digital network; they also carry digital signals at 2 048 kbit/s or analogue signals below 150 kHz, and digital signals above 2 048 kbit/s under certain conditions. Twenty-three clauses run from the conductor, the insulation, the pair groups and the cable core through the colour codes of the insulated cores and of the unit binders, cable end identification, spare and service pairs, the aluminium-polyethylene bonded sheath and the outer protective layer, to anti-termite and flame-retardant constructions, electrical, mechanical, physical, environmental and environmental protection performance, delivery length, test methods, inspection rules and packaging. Six annexes add the Munsell colour designations, a recommended core arrangement and four test methods. Issued on 19 July 2013, it took effect on 2 December 2013.
