Scope
GB/T 13709-2015 is the English-translated version of 工业用X射线管空白详细规范.
GB/T 13709-2015 specifies the format and basic content of the blank detail specification for X-ray tubes for industry, and applies to X-ray tubes used for detection and for analysis; it is the blank detail specification associated with GB/T 12078-2012, General specification for X-ray tubes.
It sets out the items a detail specification must fill in: limiting values for filament current, filament voltage and tube voltage, general and mechanical parameters, operating conditions, electro-optical characteristics such as nominal tube voltage, overvoltage, nominal anode input power, focal spot and inherent filtration, and optional characteristics including leakage current, exposure rate, effective beam angle and cooling system tightness.
It also covers marking, ordering information and safety requirements, and defines the quality conformance inspection in groups A and B (lot-by-lot, sampled to GB/T 2828.1) and groups C and D (periodic, including environmental tests, pressurization and operating life), followed by packaging, transport and storage conditions.
It replaces GB/T 13709-1992 and GB/T 13710-1992, merging the specifications for detection and analysis tubes into one, adding a leakage current requirement and adding packaging, transport and storage.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 13709-1992, Blank detail specification for X-ray tubes for detection (for certification use), and GB/T 13710-1992, Blank detail specification for X-ray tubes for analysis (for certification use). Compared with GB/T 13709-1992 and GB/T 13710-1992, the main technical changes are as follows:
- GB/T 13709-1992 and GB/T 13710-1992 have been merged into Blank detail specification of X-ray tubes for industry;
- a leakage current requirement has been added (see 4.4);
- packaging, transport and storage have been added (see 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3).
This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Electrical Vacuum Devices of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 167).
