GB/T 12668.1-2002 is the English-translated version of 调速电气传动系统第1部分：一般要求低压直流调速电气传动系统额定值的规定.

GB/T 12668.1-2002 — This standard applies to general purpose DC variable speed drive, the system including power converters, control devices and one or more electric motors.

Does not apply to vehicles and electric traction drive transmission. This section applies to connecting the AC power supply voltage 1kV and below, 50Hz or 60Hz electrical power drive systems (PDS).

IEC 61800-3 includes electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) characteristics. This section presents the characteristics of the converter and its relationship with the entire DC drive.

Also provides information on current transformer rating, the normal conditions of use, overload, surge capacity, stability, protection, grounding, and testing and other AC power performance requirements.

In addition, the standard also addresses such as control programs, diagnostics and topology application guide.
