Compared with GB/T 12085.4-2010, in addition to structural adjustment and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Change "optical instruments" in this document to "optical and photonics instruments";
--- Changed the applicable boundaries of the scope (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2010 edition);
--- Changed the content of the environmental test mark (see Chapter 7, Chapter 6 of the.2010 edition).
This document is modified using ISO 9022-4.2014 "Environmental test methods for optics and photonics - Part 4.Salt spray".
Compared with ISO 9022-4.2014, this document has the following structural adjustments.
--- Added "Terms and Definitions" chapter;
--- In order to avoid overhanging segments, 4.3.1 has been added, and the number of subsequent articles shall be extended.
The technical differences between this document and ISO 9022-4.2014 and their reasons are as follows.
--- Change "optical instrument" in the full text to "optical and photonics instrument" to meet the requirements of the application field of the optical industry;
--- Replace ISO 9022-1 (see 6.1, Chapter 7) with the normatively quoted GB/T 12085.1 to adapt to the technical conditions of our country,

4.1 Test limits
4.1.1 General
The salt spray test shall meet the requirements specified in 4.1.2 and 4.1.3.
4.1.2 Applicability
This document applies to.
a) Evaluate the resistance to salt spray corrosion of optical and other functional coatings (plating);
b) Evaluate the effect of anti-salt spray corrosion of metal and non-metallic coatings (plating);
c) Early detection of unreasonable material combinations.
4.1.3 Inapplicability
This document does not apply to the following tests.
a) general corrosion test;
b) true reproduction of the natural marine environment;
c) Examination of anti-corrosion measures for parts and components separated from installed devices.
Note. The usual salt spray test is not suitable for evaluating and comparing the corrosion resistance of different materials or the corrosion resistance effect and use of coatings exposed to changing climatic conditions.
