Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces GB/T 11701-1989 "Basic Regulations for Marine Gangways". Compared with GB/T 11701-1989, except for editorial changes In addition, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Modified the scope of application (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the 1989 edition);

1 Scope

GB/T 11701-2021 is the Chinese national standard on the general rules for marine accomodation ladders, in the field of shipbuilding and marine structures. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. This standard specifies the classification, structural dimensions, technical requirements, test and inspection, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of marine gangways.
