GB/T 11101-2020 is the English-translated version of 硬质合金圆棒毛坯.

GB/T 11101-2020 is the Chinese standard for cemented carbide blanks for round rods. It gives the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, the marking, packaging, transport, storage and quality certificate, and the content of the contract or purchase order.

It applies to the round rod blanks for cutting tools, stamping tools and wear-resistant measuring tools. Carbide producers and tool makers use it. Issued on 6 March 2020, it has applied since 1 February 2021, replacing GB/T 11101-2009.

Foreword

This Standard was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This Standard replaced GB/T 11101-2009 Cemented Carbide Blanks for Round Rods.

Compared with GB/T 11101-2009, this Standard made the major technical changes as follows besides the editorial modifications:

--- Delete "printed circuit board microdrill" in the scope (see Clause 1 of 2009 Edition);

--- Delete the relevant requirements for "round rods for printed circuit board microdrill" (see Clause 3 of 2009 Edition);

--- Modify "model representation rules" into "marking example" (see 3.1.2 of this Edition; 3.2 of 2009 Edition);

--- Confirm physical and mechanical properties, microstructure requirements (see 3.3 of this Edition; 3.4 of 2009 Edition);

--- Modify "model and size" into "size and shape"; and revise the relevant requirements (see 3.4 of this Edition; 3.5 of 2009 Edition).

1 Scope

This Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and contract (or purchase order) content of cemented carbide blanks for round rods.

This Standard is applicable to cemented carbide blanks for round rods for cutting tools, stamping tools and wear-resistant measuring tools.

3 Requirements

3.1 Schematic diagram and marking example

3.1.1 Product schematic diagram

The product schematic diagram can refer to Figure 1.

4 Test Methods

4.1 The chemical composition of the product shall be analyzed in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 5242, or determined by negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser.

4.2 The physical and mechanical properties and the microstructure of the product shall be inspected in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 5242, or determined by negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser.

4.3 The size and shape of the product shall be inspected in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 5242.

4.4 The appearance quality of the product shall be inspected in accordance with the provisions of GB/T5242.

5 Inspection Rules

5.1 Inspection and acceptance

5.1.1 The product shall be inspected by the supplier to ensure that the product complies with the requirements of this Standard and the contract (or purchase order), and fill in the quality certificate.

5.1.2 The purchaser can inspect the received products according to the provisions of this Standard. If the inspection results are inconsistent with the provisions of this Standard and the contract (or purchase order), it shall be submitted within 3 months from the date of receipt of the products; it shall be resolved through consultation between the supplier and the purchaser. If arbitration is required, arbitration sampling shall be conducted by both supplier and purchaser on the purchaser site.

5.2 Batching

Products should be submitted for inspection in batches; and each batch of products should consist of products with the same chemical composition and the same specifications. […]
