1 General provisions

1.0.1 This standard is formulated to unify the quality acceptance standards and methods

of industrial furnace building projects and ensure project quality and production safety.

1.0.2 This standard applies to the quality acceptance of industrial furnace building

projects.

1.0.3 The quality acceptance of industrial furnace building projects shall comply with

the provisions of relevant national standards, in addition to this standard.

2 Terms

2.0.1 Inverted arch

Masonry with concave arc or spherical surface.

2.0.2 Arch quoin brick

Refractory brick or prefabricated block connecting the arch or arch with the lower support.

2.0.3 Open cracks

Cracks on the surface of refractory bricks or prefabricated blocks, which have a length greater than 10 mm and a width greater than 0.2 mm.

2.0.4 Lock door brick

Refractory brick or prefabricated block that closes the last gap of a ring or a spherical masonry.

2.0.5 Hollow brick seam

Brick joints between wet masonry without refractory mortar bonding.

2.0.6 Sliding joint

Brick joints between adjacent layers or rows of masonry, that are not allowed to be into inspection batches, sub-item projects, subsection project, unit projects.

4.1.2 The division of inspection batches, sub-item projects, subsection projects, unit projects for the quality acceptance of the industrial furnace masonry project shall comply with the following provisions.

1 Inspection batches shall be divided according to the number of layers, construction sections, expansion joints, etc. of the parts, according to the size of the industrial furnace project, construction and quality inspection and control needs.

2 Sub-item projects shall be divided according to the structural composition or section of the industrial furnace; sub-item projects may consist of one or more inspection batches. When the masonry project size of the industrial furnace is less than 100 m3, one (set) furnace can be regarded as a sub-item project.

3 The sub-section projects shall be divided according to the number of industrial

furnaces. When a sub-section project is large and can be divided into two or more independent projects, these two or more independent projects can each become a sub-section project or a sub-branch project. Where there is only one sub-item project in a sub-division project, the sub-item project can be a sub-section project.

4 The unit project shall be divided according to the industrial furnace masonry

project of an independent production system. When a unit project is large and can be divided into two or more independent projects, these two or more independent projects can each become a unit project or a sub-unit project. When there is only one sub-section project in a unit project, the sub-section project can be a unit project. The division of unit projects in special cases shall comply with the following provisions.

1) In an independent production system, when the masonry project size of the industrial furnace is less than 500 m3, the industrial furnace masonry project can be regarded as a sub-section project, which together with other trades or other construction and installation projects forms a unit project.

2) Where there are several industrial furnaces in a building or structure, the masonry projects of several industrial furnaces can be a unit project; each industrial furnace masonry project can be a sub-section project.

4.2 Inspection and acceptance of quality

4.2.1 The quality acceptance of the inspection batch shall comply with the following

provisions.

1 The quality of the main control item shall all pass the inspection and acceptance;

2 Each sampling point of the general item shall comply with the provisions of this

4.3 Procedure and organization of quality inspection and acceptance

4.3.1 The quality of the inspection batch shall be based on self-inspection; the project

professional quality inspector of the construction organization shall fill in the "Inspection batch quality acceptance record"; sign it before applying for acceptance.

The professional supervision engineer or the professional technical person in charge of the construction organization shall organize the professional foreman of the construction organization, the professional quality inspector of the project, etc. to conduct acceptance.

4.3.2 The inspection batch quality acceptance record shall comply with the format of

Appendix A of this standard.

4.3.3 The quality of the sub-item project shall be filled in by the project professional

quality inspector of the construction organization, submitted to the professional technical person in charge of the project for signature before applying for acceptance.

The professional supervision engineer or the project professional technical person in charge of the construction organization shall organize the project professional quality inspector of the construction organization and the professional technical person in charge of the project, etc. to conduct acceptance.

4.3.4 The quality acceptance record of the sub-item project should comply with the

format of Appendix B of this standard.

4.3.5 The project professional quality inspector of the construction organization shall

fill the “Sub-section (sub-branch) project quality acceptance records”; send to the person in charge of the project for signature, before applying for acceptance. The chief supervisor engineer shall organize the project leaders of the supervision organization, building organization, construction organization to jointly conduct the acceptance.

4.3.6 The quality acceptance record of the sub-section (sub-branch) project shall

comply with the format of Appendix C of this standard.

4.3.7 For the quality of the unit project, the construction organization shall fill the “Item

(sub-item) project quality acceptance records” to apply for acceptance; send relevant data to the building organization, supervision organization, design organization for review. The acceptance conclusion shall be filled by the supervision organization or building organization.

4.3.8 The quality assurance data verification record should comply with the format of

Appendix D of this standard. The as-built acceptance record of the unit (sub-unit)

project quality should comply with the format of Appendix E of this standard.

5 Provisions for quality inspection and acceptance

5.1 Bottom and wall

I Main control items

5.1.1 The types and designations of refractory products and refractory slurry shall meet

the design requirements.

Inspection method. Observation inspection; check inspection report or quality certificate.

5.1.2 The slurry (mortar) fullness of brick joints shall meet the following requirements.

1 The slurry fullness of brick joints shall be greater than 90%. For floors and walls with strict air tightness requirements and erosion by melt or slag, the slurry fullness of brick joints shall be greater than 95%;

2 The slurry fullness of ordinary clay brick joints shall be greater than 85%;

3 The mortar fullness of external ordinary clay brick joints shall be greater than 80%.

4 When the refractory bricks cannot be checked for slurry fullness with a hundred-grid net, they shall be observed and inspected during construction.

Inspection quantity. 2 ~ 4 random inspections at each layer of furnace bottom; 1 inspection for every 1.25 m high furnace wall, 2 ~ 4 random inspections each time.

Inspection method. Use a hundred-grid net to check the bonding area between the brick surface and the slurry; lift 3 bricks at each location; take the average value.

5.1.3 The dry-laid brick joints shall be filled with materials according to design

requirements.

Inspection quantity. 2 ~ 4 random inspections at each layer of furnace bottom; 1 inspection for every 1.25 m high furnace wall, 2 ~ 4 random inspections each time.

Inspection method. Observation inspection.

II General items

5.1.4 The brick joint thickness of the furnace bottom and furnace wall masonry shall

comply with the provisions of Table 5.1.4.

Number of inspections. 2 ~ 4 random inspections on the furnace bottom surface;

furnace bottoms with melt or slag erosion shall be inspected layer by layer, with 2 ~ 4

3 The upper and lower layers of bricks on the single-ring circular furnace wall with the same diameter shall not have double joints.

Number of inspections. 1 inspection per 4 m height; less than 4 m is counted as 4 m; 2 ~ 4 spots are randomly inspected each time, each 3 m long; all lock door bricks are inspected.

Inspection methods. Observation inspection; measure with ruler; check construction records.

5.1.8 The structures and expansion joints of various burners, holes, passages, insulation

layers in the masonry shall comply with the following provisions.

1 The elevation of the center line of the burner brick masonry shall comply with the design requirements;

2 Holes and passages shall be correctly built;

3 The joints between the burner brick masonry, hole brick masonry and the surrounding masonry shall be flat and tightly joined;

4 The structure of the insulation layer shall comply with the design requirements;

5 Expansion joints shall be evenly, straightly, and correctly positioned; the joints shall be clean and filled with materials as required.

Inspection quantity. All burners and expansion joints shall be inspected; other items shall be randomly inspected at 2 ~ 4 locations according to the masonry parts.

Inspection method. Observation inspection; measure with ruler; check construction records.

5.1.9 The working surface of the furnace wall shall be correctly assembled; the joints

shall be dense, horizontal and vertical; the wall surface shall be flat and clean.

Inspection quantity. According to the provisions of Article 5.1.7 of this standard.

Inspection method. Observation inspection.

5.1.10 The external ordinary clay brick wall shall be assembled correctly; the surface

shall be grouted and neat; the deviation of the running joint shall be 0 mm ~ 20 mm.

Inspection quantity. In accordance with the provisions of Article 5.1.7 of this standard.

Inspection method. Observation inspection, hanging line inspection, measure with ruler.

conducted. When the same designation or the same mix ratio is used for multiple constructions, test blocks shall be retained for each construction.

Inspection method. Check the test block quality inspection report.

6.1.4 The provisions of anchoring parts shall meet the design requirements and the

welding shall be firm.

Inspection method. Observation inspection, hammer inspection.

6.1.5 The main stress-bearing parts of anchor bricks or hanging bricks are strictly

prohibited from having cracks; the other parts are not allowed to have open cracks.

Inspection method. Observation inspection of the main stress-bearing parts; the length of the open cracks in the other parts is checked by steel tape measure, whilst the width is checked by plug wire.

II General items

6.1.6 The allowable deviation and inspection method of the refractory castable lining

can be implemented in accordance with the provisions of Article 5.1.5 of this standard.

6.1.7 The quality of the refractory castable lining shall comply with the following

provisions.

1 The refractory castable shall be vibrated and compacted; the surface shall not have defects such as peeling, cracks, holes, etc., but may have slight reticular cracks;

2 The expansion joints shall be evenly, straight, correctly positioned; the filling materials shall be specified;

3 The structure of the thermal insulation layer shall meet the design requirements.

Inspection quantity. All expansion joints shall be inspected. Other items. 2 ~ 4 random inspections shall be conducted on the furnace bottom and the arch roof. The furnace wall shall be inspected once for every 4 m height; if it is less than 4 m, it shall be counted as 4 m; 2 ~ 4 random inspections shall be conducted each time, with each inspection area of 5 m2.

Inspection method. Observation inspection, inspection with a scale magnifying glass, check construction records.

6.2 Plastic refractories

I Main control items

6.2.1 The type, designation, plasticity index of plastic refractories shall meet the design

requirements.

Inspection method. Check the quality certificate, product instruction manual, validity period, inspection report.

6.2.2 The formwork, curing, construction joint treatment of plastic refractories shall

comply with the product instructions and the relevant provisions of the current national standard GB 50211 "Code for construction and acceptance of industrial furnaces building".

Inspection method. Observation inspection, check construction records.

6.2.3 The provision of anchors shall comply with the provisions of Article 6.1.4 of this

standard.

6.2.4 Anchoring bricks or hanging bricks shall comply with the provisions of Article
6.1.5 of this standard.

II General items

6.2.5 The allowable deviation and inspection method of plastic refractory linings can

be implemented in accordance with the provisions of Article 5.1.5 of this standard.

6.2.6 The quality of the plastic refractory lining shall comply with the following

provisions.

1 The plastic refractory lining shall be dense and uniform; it shall be tightly interlocked with the anchor bricks or hanging bricks. The construction joint shall be set at the center line of the same row of anchor bricks or hanging bricks;

2 The heating surface of the plastic refractory lining shall be provided with dia. 4 mm ~ dia. 6 mm ventilation holes. The spacing between the holes should be 150 mm ~ 230 mm; the position shall be between two anchor bricks; the depth should be 1/2 ~ 2/3 of the ramming solid thickness;

3 The expansion joint shall be provided in accordance with the design requirements;

the width of the expansion joint should be 5 mm; the depth should be 50 mm ~ 80 mm.

Inspection quantity. In accordance with the provisions of Article 6.1.7 of this standard.

Inspection method. Observation inspection, measure with ruler, check construction records.

6.2.7 The repair of plastic refractory lining before baking furnace shall comply with the

relevant provisions of the current national standard GB 50211 "Code for construction and acceptance of industrial furnaces building".

7 Refractory ceramic fiber

7.1 Layer lining

I Main control items

7.1.1 The types and designations of refractory ceramic fiber blankets, felts, boards, adhesives shall meet the design requirements.

Inspection quantity. Refractory ceramic fibers of different types and designations shall be inspected and accepted as one inspection batch of 20 t.

Inspection Method. Check the quality certificate or inspection report.

7.1.2 The material of the anchor shall meet the design requirements and the welding

shall be firm.

Inspection method. Hammer inspection, check quality certificate.

II General items

7.1.3 The fixing of layered refractory ceramic fiber blankets, felts, boards shall comply

with the following provisions.

1 Layered refractory ceramic fiber blankets, felts, boards shall be parallel to the heated surface and fixed with ceramic cups, ceramic nuts or metal turn clip covers;

2 The ceramic cups shall be tightly packed with refractory fillers of the same material as the hot surface;

3 When ceramic nuts and metal turn clip covers are used for fixing, the surface shall be covered with refractory ceramic fiber blocks and shall be firmly pasted.

Inspection quantity. Randomly check 3 places for every 100 m2, 5 m2 for each place; if it is less than 100 m2 it shall be counted as 100 m2; if it is less than 5 m2, it shall be inspected in full.

Inspection method. Observation inspection, check construction records.

7.1.4 The lining of layered refractory ceramic fiber blankets, felts, boards shall comply

with the following provisions.

1 Refractory ceramic fiber blankets, felts, boards shall be laid close to the surface of the base layer; the joints shall be tight, without looseness, wrinkles, cracks or burrs;

2 The layers shall be laid with staggered joints; the distance between the staggered joints between each layer shall be greater than 100 mm;

3 The insulation layer can be laid with joints aligned;

4 When the heated surface layer is a refractory ceramic fiber blanket, the joints shall be overlapped; the overlap length should be 100 mm. The overlap direction shall be in the direction of airflow and shall not be reversed.

Inspection quantity. Randomly check 3 places for every 100 m2, 5 m2 each; if it is less than 100 m2, it shall be counted as 100 m2; if it is less than 5 m2, it shall be inspected in full.

Inspection method. Observation inspection, measurement inspection, check construction records.

7.1.5 The installation of anchors shall be correct; the allowable deviation shall be 0 mm

~ 5 mm.

Inspection quantity. Randomly check 3 places per 100 m2, 5 m2 each place; if it is less than 100 m2, it shall be counted as 100 m2; if it is less than 5 m2, it shall be inspected in full.

Inspection method. Observation inspection, measure with ruler.

7.1.6 At the corners of the furnace wall or where the furnace wall is connected to the

furnace roof and furnace bottom, the refractory ceramic fiber blankets, felts, boards shall be staggered and shall not have through seams inside and outside. There shall be no straight through seams at the connection between the refractory ceramic fiber blankets, felts, boards and other refractory furnace linings.

Inspection quantity. Full inspections.

Inspection method. Observation inspection.

7.2 Stacked lining

I Main control items

7.2.1 The types and designations of refractory ceramic fiber blankets, felts, adhesives

shall meet the design requirements.

Inspection quantity. Refractory ceramic fibers of different types and designations shall be inspected and accepted as one inspection batch of 20 t.

Inspection method. Check the quality certificate or inspection report.

7.2.2 The material of the pins and support plates shall meet the design requirements;

8.2.7 Full carbon brick masonry shall comply with the following provisions.

1 The carbon brick row shall be straight; the plane position shall be correct;

2 The compression ratio of the ramming material between the carbon brick masonry and the cooling wall or furnace shell shall be greater than 40%.

Inspection quantity. Check layer by layer, check 3 ~ 5 places on each layer.

Inspection method. Observation inspection, compression ratio inspection.

8.2.8 Ring-shaped large carbon brick masonry shall comply with the following

provisions.

1 The radial joints shall coincide with the radial direction; the upper and lower brick joints shall be staggered;

2 The compression ratio of the ramming material between the carbon brick masonry and the cooling wall or furnace shell and the bottom pad refractory brick shall be greater than 40% and 45% respectively.

Inspection quantity. Check layer by layer, check 4 places on each layer.

Inspection method. Observation inspection, compression ratio inspection.

8.2.9 Other refractory brick masonry shall comply with the following provisions.

1 The masonry center lines of the upper and lower furnace bottoms shall be staggered at 30° and shall be staggered at 30° ~ 60° with the iron outlet center line;

2 The vertical joints passing through the center points of the upper and lower layers shall not overlap.

Inspection quantity. Check layer by layer.

Inspection method. Observation inspection.

8.3 Blast furnace hearth

I Main control items

8.3.1 The type and designation of refractory materials shall meet the design

requirements.

Inspection method. Observation inspection, check report or quality certificate.

8.3.2 The slurry fullness of wet-laid brick joints shall be greater than 95%.
