1 Scope

GB 46313-2025 is the Chinese national standard on protective clothing - mechanical protective clothing, in the field of environment and health protection, safety. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. It was issued on 29 August 2025 by the Ministry of Emergency Management, and has been in force since 1 September 2026. Classification: ICS 13.340.10, CCS C73. This document specifies the performance levels, technical requirements, marking and manufacturer information for mechanical protective clothing and describes the test methods. This document applies to protective aprons, trousers and vests worn when working with hand-held knives, as well as to protective clothing worn on parts of the body to prevent accidents. 3 Terms and Definitions

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 12903 and ISO 13998 and the following apply.

3.1 Clothing that protects the human body from at least one of the following mechanical injuries. cuts and stabs caused by hand-held knives. NOTE. See Appendix A for typical types of mechanical protective clothing.
