1 Scope

GB 45670.4-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the water norm for public baths and bathing facilities - per bather, by type of establishment, with the credit given for heat and water recovery. Mandatory, first edition, in force since 1 August 2026. It was issued on 27 June 2026 and has been in force since 1 August 2026, as a first edition. 6 Management Requirements

6.1 A sound water intake and consumption metering system should be established, with different water volumes measured according to water source type, and water metering instruments provided for water-using units and secondary water-using units. The availability rate should reach 100%. Water metering instruments should be verified or calibrated according to regulations and meet the relevant requirements of GB/T 24789 and GB/T 28714. 6.7 If the water consumption per person in a bathing facility reaches the Level 1 indicator value, it is considered that the water use efficiency has reached an advanced level.
