1 Scope

GB 45187-2024 is the Chinese national standard on fall protection - climb auto system against fall, in the field of environment and health protection, safety. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. It was issued on 31 December 2024 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 January 2026. 3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Power lift anti-fall device climb auto system against fall A fall protection device that uses an external power source or is driven by a battery to carry personnel and equipment up or down in the predetermined direction of the guide rail.

3.2 Fixed power lifting anti-fall deviceFixed climb auto system against fall The guide rails must be permanently fixed to the surface of the structure. When in use, the platform carries personnel and equipment to rise or fall in the predetermined direction of the guide rails. Force lifting fall prevention device (3.1).

Note. It consists of guide rails, device body (platform), power device, etc.

3.3 Portable power lifting anti-fall device portable climb auto system against fall The guide rail does not need to be fixed on the surface of the structure. When in use, the device body rises or falls with the personnel and equipment in the predetermined direction of the guide rail. Power lifting fall prevention device (3.1).

3.4 Device body load-bearing components The assembly of parts in a powered lift fall arrest device (3.1) that come into direct contact with personnel or equipment and bear the weight of the personnel and the main body.
