Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1:1-2009: This standard replaces GB 19342-2013 "Toothbrush", GB 30002-2013 "Children's toothbrush" and GB 30003-2013 "Sharpened teeth Compared with the mandatory content in the three standards, the main technical changes are as follows:

---Change the requirements of "Sharpening Wire" in "Toothbrush Bristle Safety" (see 5:6:3:2, GB 30003-2013, 5:5);

---Change the requirements of "edge, tip" (see 5:7, 4:2:1 of GB 19342-2013, 4:2:1 of GB 30002-2013, 5:2:1 of GB 30003-2013);

1 Scope

GB 39669-2020 is the Chinese national standard on general technical requirements for safety of toothbrushes and oral implements, in the field of health care technology. It carries no /T suffix, which in the Chinese system means compliance is mandatory: a product or a practice within its scope has to meet it to be lawfully made, sold or carried out in China. It was issued on 24 December 2020 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 January 2022.
