GB 26569-2026 is the English-translated version of 民用煤层气(煤矿瓦斯).
GB 26569-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering coal mine gas sold as a domestic fuel - the methane concentration and the oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen sulfide limits, and the odorisation, on a gas drained from a mine as a safety measure and then used rather than vented. A mandatory standard under the National Mine Safety Administration. It replaces GB 26569-2011 and takes effect on 1 April 2027. It was issued on 31 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 April 2027, replacing GB 26569-2011. This document specifies the quality requirements, product inspection, filtration and odorization of civil coalbed methane (coal mine gas), and describes the test methods. This document applies to the classification and quality testing of purified coalbed methane (coal mine gas) for civilian use.
4 Quality Requirements
4.1 The molar fraction of methane in domestic coalbed methane (coal mine gas) should not be less than 30%.
4.2 Civil coalbed methane (coal mine gas) is classified into Class I, Class II, Class III, and Class IV, and its quality requirements should meet the requirements of Table
1.When methane molar... When the molar fraction and higher calorific value meet different classification requirements, the molar fraction of methane should be used as the classification basis.
5 Test Methods
5.1 Sampling Implement according to GB/T 13609.
5.2 Methane mole fraction Perform according to GB/T 13610.
5.3 High-level heat generation Compliance shall be in accordance with GB/T 11062 or GB/T 12206, and arbitration methods shall be in accordance with GB/T 11062.
5.4 Total Sulfur The arbitration method shall be in accordance with GB/T 11060.4 or GB/T 11060.8.
5.5 Hydrogen sulfide The arbitration method shall be in accordance with GB/T 11060.1, GB/T 11060.2 or GB/T 11060.10, and the arbitration method shall be in accordance with GB/T 11060.1.
5.6 Particulate matter Perform according to GB/T 27893.
5.7 Mole fraction of carbon dioxide Perform according to GB/T 13610.
5.8 Water Dew Point The arbitration method shall be in accordance with GB/T 17283.1 and SY/T 6899.
6.1 Inspection Rules
6.1.1 Factory Inspection The factory inspection items should include methane mole fraction, higher calorific value, hydrogen sulfide, and particulate matter.
6.1.2 Type Testing Type testing items should include all items specified in Table 1. Type testing should be conducted in any of the following situations.
---When it is first put into production;
---During normal production, a type test is conducted every two years;
---When the type test results of the same batch of products are compared with the most recent valid type test results, statistical analysis using t-test, F-test, etc., is performed... The method determined that there was a significant difference (significance level alpha <= 0.05), and that this difference might affect the safety or compliance of the product. During sexual intercourse;
---When replacing major equipment or when new major equipment is introduced into the system;
---When production resumes after a product has been suspended for more than six months;
---When relevant national departments make requests.
6.2 Judgment Rules
6.2.1 If any item fails to meet the requirements during factory inspection, the entire batch of products shall be deemed unqualified.
6.2.2 If any item fails the type test, the batch of products is deemed unqualified.
7 Filtration and Odor Addition
7.1 Coalbed methane (coal mine gas) for civilian use should be purified, and its particulate matter content should meet the requirements of Table 1.
7.2 Domestic coalbed methane (coal mine gas) should be odorized to give it a detectable odor. When the gas leaks into the air, the volume fraction of methane should reach a certain level. At 1%, a person with a normal sense of smell should be able to detect it. Odorants should comply with the requirements of GB 55009. GB 26569-2026. Coalbed methane for civilian use (coal mine gas) ICS
