5.3 Test Procedure

5.3.1 Crush test

5.3.1.1 Press safety cage mounting on three-wheeled vehicles, and together with the cargo box of the safety cage, or with safety cage frame, or together with the frame and a rigid cargo compartment safety cage firmly fixed crush test apparatus test stand.

Measure and record the size of the position before the test safety cage structure size and the relative shelter area.

Note. When measuring the actual size, should affect the actual structure of the virtual vehicle cab structure and position about the cab structure and location of the security holder's role will Further research and complement the revised standards.

The load beam is placed on top of the safety cage member, so crushed together loads longitudinal symmetry plane.

5.3.1.2 gradually applying a load to the safety cage until it overwhelms load equal according to formula (1) Calculation of load or 35kN, whichever is greater.

Loading the loading rate should be equivalent static load, ie load deformation rate state of not more than 5mm/s.

When loading, to ensure accuracy, should be recorded continuously applied load and deformation. From the beginning to the load before the completion of the test should not reduce the load. for Measuring and recording data, allowing the suspension to increase the load.

F1 = (3M · g)/1000 (1) where.

F1 --- applied to secure the shelves overwhelmed load, in units of kN (kN);

M --- three cars Rated load mass, in kilograms (kg);

g --- gravitational acceleration in meters per second squared (m/s2), take g = 9.81m/s2.

Direction and the effect of loading point shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2.

Crushed under the following conditions should be stopped loading.

--- Load applied to the security holder is not less than the formula (1), whichever is greater, or 35kN load value is determined;

--- Safety cage and its related components intrusive occupants shelter area or region of the protective shelter of failure;

--- A security framework and its connections and/or welding broken off, safety cage and the fixed member detachment.

Safety cage is no longer any visible deformation, then this crushed maintain 5s.

5.3.2.2 gradually applying a load to the safety cage until the applied load is equal to the formula (2) or formula (3) of the load. Loading speed should be loaded Equivalent static load, strain rate loading condition that is not more than 5mm/s.

Load beam in a secure frame determined when a straight line is not perpendicular to the loading direction, the gap should be filled so that the load evenly distributed throughout the load beam.

When loading, to ensure accuracy, should be recorded continuously applied load and deformation. From the beginning to the load before the completion of the test should not reduce the load. for Measuring and recording data, allowing the suspension to increase the load.

Rated load mass of not more than 1000kg of the three cars, according to the formula (2) calculate the applied load; for a mass greater than the rated load 1000kg of the three cars, according to the formula (3) calculate the applied load.

F2 = (3.5M · g)/1000 (2) F2 = (2.5M · g)/1000 (3) where.

F2 --- After applying to the safe loading rack longitudinal load, in units of kN (kN).

The load shall be applied to the cross member frame three-wheeled automobile safety uppermost (see Figure 3). Load direction deviation should be as follows Fan Wai within.

--- When the start of the test (no load). horizontal ± 2 °;

--- During the test (under load). above the horizon 10 °, below the horizontal 20 °.

Loading area from the safety cage top cross member of the upper and lower edges of the distance from the edge of the safety cage distance should be equal on both sides.

After the stop in the following situations longitudinal load.

--- A load applied to the load is not smaller than the safety bracket according to the formula (2) or formula (3) is calculated;

--- Safety cage and related parts and cab occurrence extrusion, collision or invasive occupants shelter area;

--- A security framework and its connections and/or welding broken off, safety cage and the fixed member detachment.

Safety cage is no longer any visible deformation, and then maintain this applied load 5s.

Measuring and recording the relative safety cage before the start of the test measured the size and structure relative to the size of the shelter area of vertical and longitudinal variations of the amount.
