Scope
GB 20294-2006 is the English-translated version of 隔爆型起重冶金和屏蔽电机安全要求.
Flameproof machines are the subject of GB 20294-2006, the mandatory Chinese national standard on the safety requirements for flameproof crane and metallurgical motors and flameproof canned motors.
It fixes the safety requirements for flameproof lifting duty motors, for flameproof conical rotor motors and for flameproof canned motors.
Its scope reaches the flameproof drive motors of all kinds of lifting machinery and similar equipment, the conical rotor brake motors used with them, and the flameproof canned motors employed in the petroleum, chemical and other industries for liquids that contain no solid particles.
It quotes GB 755-2000, GB/T 825-1988, GB 1971-2006, GB/T 2423.4-1993 and GB 3836.1-2000. Issued on 30 April 2006, it has applied since 1 January 2007.
