GB 1903.32-2018 is the Chinese national food safety standard for the food nutrition enhancer D-sodium pantothenate. It covers the product obtained by reacting calcium pantothenate with sodium sulfate, or the sodium salt of alpha,gamma-dihydroxy-beta,beta-butyric acid dimethyl ester with beta-alanine.

Clause 2 gives the molecular formula C9H16NNaO5, the structural formula and the relative molecular mass of 241.22, calculated on the 2016 international relative atomic masses.

Clause 3 sets the technical requirements: the sensory requirements of Table 1, which call for a white colour, a crystalline powder or powder state and a slightly sour smell, judged on a portion placed in a clean dry white porcelain dish under natural light, and the physical and chemical indicators of Table 2. It was issued on 21 June 2018 and has applied since 21 December 2018.
