Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB 17602-1998 "Industrial Hexane". Compared with GB 17602-1998, the main technical changes except editorial changes the following is as follows.

--- Standard changed from mandatory to recommended;

--- Increased product classification (see Chapter 3 and Table 1);

--- Increased n-hexane content requirements (see Table 1);

--- Increased the requirements of sulfur content, bromine index and benzene content indicators (see Table 1);

--- Modify the distillation range indicators and test methods (see Chapter 2 and Table 1);

--- Increased test method for benzene content (see Chapter 2 and Table 1);

--- Added inspection rules and security content (see Chapters 5 and 7).

This standard is proposed and managed by the National Petroleum Products and Lubricants Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC280).

1 Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, requirements and test methods, inspection rules, signs and packages of industrial hexanes prepared from petroleum fractions.

Loading, transportation, storage and safety.

This standard applies to chemical synthesis (such as the polymerization of polypropylene, polybutylene and ethylene propylene rubber) process with hexane solvent and preparation of binder, coating Materials, inks and industrial hexanes used in various extraction processes.

This standard does not apply to edible vegetable oils and hexanes for protein extraction.
