3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Shore-based signs riparian-basedsigns

Signs installed on the banks of rivers on both sides of inland navigable waters.

3.2 bridge signs

Signs placed on water crossing structures such as road bridges, railway bridges, pipelines and aqueducts.

3.3 Waterfront sign wadingsigns

A sign set on a building (structure) in water.

3.4 notice sign noticesigns

Based on text, supplemented or not supplemented by graphics and symbols, the main sign of the category is determined according to the content of the text notice.

The vertical distance between the water surface and the upper bottom of the navigable clearance of the building crossing the river at the current moment.
