Scope
GB 10737-2007 is the English-translated version of 工作基准试剂 含量测定通则 称量电位滴定法.
GB 10737-2007 specifies the weight potentiometric titration method for the assay of working chemicals (working reference reagents): the mass of the operating solution or reference solution is weighed on an analytical balance and the end point is found potentiometrically, with a relative standard deviation of 0.02%.
The value is transferred from a reference material of assay not less than 99.95% either through an operating solution, titrating reference material and sample alternately, or through a reference solution prepared by weighing; the standard sets the weighing accuracy, the balance and ion-meter requirements, the titration procedure with second-derivative end-point determination, and the precision rule of two analysts with four parallel determinations each (repeatability critical ranges 0.069% and 0.082%).
It gives the calculation formulas with air-buoyancy correction, the expression of the expanded uncertainty of the result, and annexes on preparing the reference solution, the dimensions of the weighing titration flask and reaction flask, the second-derivative calculation, buoyancy correction and uncertainty evaluation.
It replaces GB 10737-1989, renaming the standard, adding general provisions and an expanded-uncertainty clause and revising the precision requirements and calculation formulas; subclauses 4.2, 4.3 and 4.5 and Clauses 6 and 7 are mandatory, the rest recommended.
