Scope

YY/T 1293.3-2026 is the English-translated version of 接触性创面敷料 第3部分:羧甲基纤维素钠敷料.

YY/T 1293.3 is the product standard for the sodium carboxymethylcellulose dressing, the gelling fibre dressing used on exuding wounds. It specifies the performance requirements for these dressings and describes the corresponding test methods. It applies to contact wound dressings made mainly of sodium carboxymethylcellulose fibre, and excludes other product forms based on the same chemistry that fall outside that description. Gelling fibre dressings are judged on absorbency, gel behaviour, wet integrity on removal and residue, which is why they are separated from the general dressing requirements into their own part of the YY/T 1293 series. For a manufacturer or an importer of gelling fibre or hydrofiber-type dressings seeking Chinese registration, this is the part of the series the specification and the test report have to follow.

Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose dressings are dressings with sodium carboxymethyl cellulose fibers as the main component. Their main characteristics are high absorbency and gelling properties. Suitable for wounds with moderate to large amounts of exudate. After absorbing wound exudate, the fibers form a hydrophilic gel on the wound surface, helping to maintain wound healing. Moist healing environment. YY/T 1293 is proposed to consist of six parts.

1.Vaseline Gauze. This section specifies the performance requirements and test methods for Vaseline gauze.

2.Polyurethane Foam Dressings. This section specifies performance requirements and test methods for dressings with a polyurethane foam liquid absorbent layer. content.

3.Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose Dressings. Specifications for performance requirements and... Experimental methods and other related content.

4.Hydrocolloid Dressings. This section specifies the performance requirements and test methods for sheet-supplied hydrocolloid dressings.

5.Alginate Dressings. This section specifies performance requirements and test methods for alginate dressings composed solely of alginate fibers. content.
