Introduction

Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose dressings are dressings with sodium carboxymethyl cellulose fibers as the main component. Their main characteristics are high absorbency and gelling properties.

Suitable for wounds with moderate to large amounts of exudate. After absorbing wound exudate, the fibers form a hydrophilic gel on the wound surface, helping to maintain wound healing.

Moist healing environment. YY/T 1293 is proposed to consist of six parts.

1 Scope

This document specifies the performance requirements for sodium carboxymethyl cellulose dressings and describes the corresponding test methods.

This document applies to contact wound dressings made primarily of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose fibers.

This document does not apply to sodium carboxymethyl cellulose dressings containing antibacterial agents such as silver.
