1 Method, flame atomic absorption spectrometry

1 Scope

YS/T 746 This section provides lead-free tin-based solders Determination of zinc content.

This section applies to the determination of tin-based solders without zinc content. Measurement range. 0.0010% to 0.100%.

2 Method summary

Sample hydrochloric acid - hydrogen peroxide dissolved in hydrochloric acid - hydrobromide exclude volatile tin, antimony in nitric acid medium, flame atomic absorption spectrometry at a wavelength of 213.9nm, with flame atomization, air - acetylene flame measured absorbance of zinc.

3 Reagents

Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity.

3.1 hydrochloric acid (rho1.19g/mL), pure class distinctions.

3.2 nitrate (rho1.42g/mL), pure class distinctions.

3.3 Hydrogen peroxide (30%).

3.4 hydrobromide (rho1.49g/mL).

3.5 nitric acid (11).

HCl 3.6 - hydrobromic acid (11).

3.7 standard zinc stock solution. Accurately weigh 0.1000g zinc metal (>=99.99%), zinc placed in 200mL beaker, add 20mL nitrate Acid (3.5), cover sheet pan, heat gently to dissolve, cooled to room temperature and transferred to 1000mL volumetric flask, dilute to the mark with water, mix and transferred to plastic bottles in storage. This solution 1mL containing 100µg zinc.

3.8 Zinc standard solution. Pipette 10.00mL standard zinc stock solution (3.7) in 100mL volumetric flask, add 2mL nitric acid (3.2) with Diluted with water to the mark, mix and transferred to a plastic bottle storage solution 1mL containing 10µg zinc.

4 Instrument

Atomic absorption spectrometer, with zinc hollow cathode lamp.

Under optimum working conditions for those who can reach the following indicators can be used.

--- Characteristic concentration. a solution in the matrix is consistent with the measured solution, characterized in zinc concentration should not exceed 0.01µg/mL.

--- Precision. standard solution with the highest concentration of 10 times the absorbance measurements, the standard deviation should not exceed the average absorbance of 1.0%;

With the lowest concentration of standard solution (not "zero" concentration of the standard) measuring the absorbance of 10 times, the standard deviation should not exceed the maximum
