1 Scope

YS/T 746 This section specifies the determination method based solder lead-free solder silver content.

This section applies to the determination of tin-based solder without silver content. Measurement range. 0.0020% to 0.500%.

2 Method summary

Samples with hydrochloric acid - nitric acid mixture is dissolved in hydrochloric acid - volatile hydrobromide row tin, antimony, 10% hydrochloric acid - mixed nitric acid medium, in Atomic absorption spectrometer at a wavelength of 328.1nm, with flame atomization, air - acetylene flame measured absorbance.

3 Reagents

Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity.

Nitrate 3.1 (rho1.42g/mL).

3.2 hydrochloride (rho1.19g/mL).

3.3 hydrobromide (rho1.49g/mL).

3.4 Hydrogen peroxide (30%).

3.5 nitric acid (11).

3.6 hydrochloric acid - hydrogen bromide mixed acid. hydrochloric acid (3.2) and hydrobromic acid (3.3) mixed in equal volumes.

3.7 mixed acid. 300mL of hydrochloric acid (3.2) and 100mL nitric acid (3.1) and mixed.

3.8 Silver standard stock solution. Weigh 0.1000g of silver (>=99.99%), placed in a beaker of 200mL, 20mL of nitric acid was added (3.5), micro Heat to dissolve completely driven out of oxides of nitrogen boil, remove the cooled to room temperature and transferred to 500mL brown volumetric flask, add 20mL of nitric acid (3.5), dilute to the mark and mix. This solution 1mL containing 200µg silver.

3.9 Silver standard solution. Pipette 25.00mL standard silver stock solution (3.8) in 250mL volumetric flask, was added 20mL of nitric acid (3.5), Dilute with water to volume, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 20µg silver.

4 Instrument

Atomic absorption spectrometer, with a silver hollow-cathode lamp.

Under optimum working conditions for those who can reach the following indicators can be used.

--- Characteristic concentration. the solution was measured with the same base solution, features silver concentration should be less than 0.037µg/mL;

--- Precision. measure 10 times the absorbance of the highest concentration of the standard solution, the standard deviation should not exceed 1% of the average absorbance; with
