2 Method Summary

After decomposition of the test material by heating with hydrochloric acid; the matrix, in the form of germanium tetrachloride, is evaporated and removed. The residue is dissolved in nitric acid; and the contents of magnesium, aluminum, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, indium, lead, calcium, iron, and arsenic in the solution are determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) using cesium standard solution as an internal standard.
