YS/T 3050-2026 gives the types and sources of gold industry wastewater and specifies the general requirements for its comprehensive recovery and recycling, the types and technical requirements of purification processes, the water quality requirements for reuse of the purified water, the requirements for utilization and disposal of the resulting products, and the safety and environmental protection requirements. It also describes the corresponding verification methods.

The document applies to the recovery and recycling of wastewater produced when gold mineral resources are processed and smelted. It does not apply to mining wastewater or domestic sewage. It is used by gold mining and smelting enterprises, wastewater treatment designers and environmental managers. It is a voluntary standard, as shown by the /T in its code. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 28 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 November 2026. It is a new standard.
