1 Scope

YS/T 1047 This section specifies the method for measuring the amount of ferrous oxide copper magnetite.

This section applies to the determination of sulfur content of not more than 7.0% of the amount of ferrous oxide copper magnetite. Measurement range (mass fraction) 15.00% ~ 25.00%.

3 Method summary

Sample with acetic acid - hydrogen peroxide after the elimination of interfering elements, with hydrofluoric acid and sulfuric acid decomposition. Sulfuric acid mixed media, diphenylamine sulfonic acid Sodium as an indicator, titration with potassium dichromate standard titration solution of ferrous oxide amount.

4 Reagents

Unless otherwise stated, use only in the analysis confirmed analytically pure reagents and in line with two water GB/T 6682 regulations.

4.1 acetic acid (rho = 1.05g/mL).

4.2 hydrogen peroxide solution (30%).

4.3 boric acid.

4.4 Hydrofluoric acid (rho = 1.15g/mL).

4.5 sulfate (rho = 1.84g/mL).

4.6 phosphoric acid (rho = 1.69g/mL).

4.7 sulfuric acid solution (11).

4.8 saturated solution of boric acid.
