Part 5 of the YD/T 926 series on information telecommunication generic cabling systems, YD/T 926.5-2026 specifies the methods for measuring electrical characteristics and the requirements for field testing.

The document applies to the inspection and testing of horizontal cabling and backbone cabling inside buildings of all kinds, made up of 4-pair twisted-pair cables with a characteristic impedance of 100 ohm, patch cords and connecting hardware. It is used by cabling installers, system integrators, building owners, test equipment makers and test laboratories. It is a voluntary standard, as shown by the /T in its code. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology under the China Communications Standards Association, issued on 1 June 2026 and takes effect on 1 December 2026. It replaces YD/T 1013-2013.
