YD/T 7066-2026 specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transport and storage of fluoroplastics for telecommunication cables and optical fibre cables. It applies to the development, production, use and inspection of granulated ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene copolymer, fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer, perfluoroalkoxy copolymer, polytetrafluoroethylene and polyvinylidene fluoride used for telecommunication cables and optical fibre cables. Other fluoropolymers used in these cables may use it as a reference.

The document is used by fluoroplastic producers, by cable and optical cable manufacturers who buy the materials, and by test laboratories. Buyers and suppliers can also use it as the technical basis when they agree on product requirements and inspection. It is a voluntary standard issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 1 June 2026 and effective from 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
