YD/T 7060-2026 is the English-translated version of 基于WebRTC的超低延时直播协议技术要求.

This document specifies the protocol technical requirements for ultra-low-latency live streaming based on Web Real-Time Communication (WebRTC). It covers the session protocol, the interaction procedures and the transmission and control protocols. It applies to the research, development and testing of online multimedia live streaming protocols.

It is used by developers of live streaming platforms, servers and client software, by providers of streaming services who build on WebRTC, and by test laboratories that check protocol behavior. It is a voluntary standard issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 1 June 2026 and effective from 1 September 2026. It is a new standard, and it gives the industry a shared description of how a WebRTC-based live streaming protocol is built and how its parts work together.
