YD/T 7054-2026 specifies the technical requirements for controllers of software-defined wide area networks (SD-WAN) that are based on SRv6. It mainly covers a system overview, general requirements, controller reliability requirements and controller operation and maintenance requirements. The document concerns the controller, which is the part of an SD-WAN that manages the network centrally.

It applies to equipment manufacturers, SD-WAN service providers and SD-WAN users, and each of them can use it when they design, supply, buy or operate a controller. It is a voluntary standard issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 1 June 2026 and effective from 1 September 2026. It is a new standard, so network planners and procurement teams can refer to it for the controller requirements of SRv6-based SD-WAN projects.
