YD/T 7048-2026General technology requirements for cloud-native in telecom networks (English PDF)

YD/T 7048-2026 is the English-translated version of 电信网络云原生总体技术要求.

The document specifies general technical requirements for cloud-native technology in telecommunications networks, that is, networks whose functions run as containerised software on shared cloud infrastructure. It covers the requirements for infrastructure, the container layer, containerised applications, container resource management and orchestration, and security.

It applies to cloud computing providers, telecommunications operators and others who build cloud-native telecommunications networks, and gives them a shared set of technical expectations for each layer from infrastructure to security. Network planners, platform vendors and the teams who deploy network functions as containers can use it. It is a voluntary industry standard, as the /T in the code shows, approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. YD/T 7048-2026 was issued on 1 June 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
