YD/T 7046-2026 is the English-translated version of SDN交换机支持NETCONF/YANG协议的技术要求.

YD/T 7046-2026 specifies the technical requirements for SDN switches that support the NETCONF/YANG protocols. The requirements include basic requirements, requirements for the configuration management protocol, requirements for the configuration data model, performance requirements and security requirements. The document applies to the production, development, and operation and maintenance of physical SDN switch equipment. It does not apply to virtual switches.

The standard is useful to switch manufacturers, data center operators, telecom operators and software developers who build or run network management systems based on NETCONF/YANG. It is a voluntary industry standard, as shown by the /T in its code. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 1 June 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
