YD/T 7034-2026 is the English-translated version of 5G消息 业务显示设计指南.

YD/T 7034-2026 gives reference designs for the on-screen display of 5G Messaging content, including text, pictures, audio and video, and location, in both single-SIM and dual-SIM interfaces. 5G Messaging is the messaging service that upgrades basic text messaging with rich media. The document applies to communication terminals that support 5G Messaging services, and other terminals may follow it as a reference.

The guidelines are useful to terminal manufacturers, operating system and messaging application developers, interface designers and service providers who build or test the display of 5G Messaging content. It is a voluntary industry standard, as shown by the /T in its code. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 1 June 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
