YD/T 6994-2026 is the English-translated version of 数字孪生网络 骨干IP承载网拓扑孪生体评价方法.

The document establishes an index system for evaluating, by means of digital twin technology, the topology schemes of IP backbone bearer networks. It specifies the related evaluation methods and evaluation indicators, as well as the method for converting the results into scores. It applies to the evaluation of digital twin network construction work, where the twin of an IP backbone network topology is assessed against the indicators.

It is intended for telecommunications operators and design institutes that build digital twin networks, for vendors of twin platforms, and for evaluators who judge the quality of a topology twin. The standard is voluntary, as the /T in its code shows. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 1 June 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard, and no earlier edition is replaced.
