The document specifies the technical requirements for the data plane forwarding of enhanced deterministic networking in bearer networks. It covers the forwarding mechanism of the enhanced deterministic networking data plane and the information that mechanism needs. It applies to the functional constraint and performance evaluation of enhanced deterministic IP network deployments, and to the design, development and application of enhanced deterministic IP network equipment.

It is intended for manufacturers and developers of bearer network equipment, for telecommunications operators that deploy deterministic IP networks, and for laboratories and engineers who evaluate network performance. The standard is voluntary, as the /T in its code shows. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 1 June 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard, with no earlier edition replaced.
