YD/T 6963-2026 specifies the test environment, the functional test methods and the performance test methods for a 5G-based remote driving information interaction system. Such a system carries the information exchanged between a remotely operated vehicle and its remote control station over a 5G network.

The document applies to the testing and evaluation of 5G-based remote driving information interaction systems. System developers, vehicle and telematics manufacturers, network operators and test laboratories can use it to check a system's functions and performance in a defined way. It is a voluntary standard of the communications industry. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it on 1 June 2026, and it is effective from 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
