YD/T 6962-2026 is the English-translated version of 边缘数据中心存储架构和技术要求.

This document sets requirements for the storage architecture of edge data centers and for its functions and technology. On architecture, it covers distributed storage, tiered storage and converged storage. On technology, it covers basic performance, data reliability, data security, and system scalability and flexibility.

It applies to the design and development of storage architecture for edge data centers, which support the storage, analysis and use of data on the government governance side and the enterprise server side. Edge data center designers, storage system developers and operators, and buyers who specify storage for edge sites will find it useful. The standard is voluntary. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it on 1 June 2026, and it takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
