YD/T 6945-2026 is the English-translated version of 物联网卡连接管理能力开放 总体技术要求.

YD/T 6945-2026 specifies the general technical requirements for opening up the connection management capabilities of IoT cards to customers. The requirements cover the overall architecture of a system that exposes those capabilities, the capability gateway, the capability exposure portal, the connection management capabilities and the industry service capabilities.

The document applies to operators that open IoT card connection management capabilities to enterprise customers and to third-party application platforms. Operators, platform developers and the enterprise customers who integrate with such a system are its main users. It is a voluntary industry standard, as the /T in the code shows, approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It was issued on 1 June 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
